1) PARTICIPATION:
According to the suggestions in the question, i think my participation is very good. i have never forgotten gym strip this year, im pretty sure. my memory isnt bringing up any missing gym strip days. and as for attendance, i think all of my absences are excused from being sick or some appointments. ive never been late either, since it is pretty hard to be late for pe depending on your teacher.
I think my participation in class is very good for the encouragement and what i do to make the class better. I've been trying to do as much as i can to help out in class, whether if its giving tips, helping to set up, or answering questions people have; being helpful. i try my best to put in my most effort for every class, especially fitness days. i've been much better at participation this year than i was last year, and i think it has to do with the people around me. i have people that motivate me indirectly and make me want to do my best too. i actually like participating a lot since i think it makes other people follow and they'll do some work too. my motivations behind what i do on days i have pe all come from my classmates and friends. they really help me out a lot indirectly, and i think it has made me a bit better at participating individually.

2) SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CONTRIBUTION TO THE CLASS:
I think this is one area i have really improved on from the start of the year. i think the people around me have made me more responsible for myself and have made me more confident in contributing. a big chunk of our class is pretty good at doing things without being told to. i try to help out as much as possible, but sometimes my confidence isnt up for it. but ive been getting better, i've been helping with equipment more lately and helping people when they need it. i've actually gone to a bit of a leader position among my group of friends in our class. ive gotten more confident as a person rather than a student in pe when it comes to leadership. i think my social dynamic is pretty good in classes. i mean, im never really negative about something unless its at the beginning and im like "aaaah i dont want to do this today i dont like it" but i keep thoughts like those to myself or some friends in the class. and i dont even keep up the negative attitude fore long, its literally when teachers explain to us what we're doing that im like that, then i shut up and not complain anymore haha. i like bringing a positive energy to the class, its honestly fun! for fitness, i am usually pretty competitive. not them most, but i try to compete with myself rather, and not other people. i think competing with myself is more important, but sort of competing against others is really motivating! as far as connections with the community and volunteering, i havent done any, unfortuntely. i dont do a lot of active stuff outside of school.

3) HEALTHY LIVING:
I honestly should improve on being more active outside of school. but i really think im not that bad. i eat healthy and do some exercise occasionally. i walk to and from school, and walking from school is like a workout for me since i have to walk up like two hills. i eat healthy mostly. i try to stay away from bad foods as much as possible, and i've been wanting to get better at that soon or during the summer. i love to eat fruits and veggies everyday so i think im on a good start for my summer goals. but my parents always tell me to watch what i eat, and i do listen! my parents dont buy a lot of bad foods anyways. one thing they dont buy are sugary cereals and pop, they never do. there is the occasional pop or pepsi, but compared to what i see other kids drink, i really drink litle sugary things. my diet has always been really good, and my parents agree. ive never been one to eat lots of junk food, and i have always been eating fruits and veggies. never afraid to try different and new foods.
for exercise though, i think i should improve. ive always been sort of lacking activity, but i my parents tell my i was always super active when i was small. i remember walking long distances lots and doing stuff like swimming and some drop in soccer, i also did some ballet and gymnastics too. but exercise is really something i want and is improving on. ive set some goals for the summer that i can hopefully keep up throughout the years. it would be important for me to manage my activity since i dont participate in any outside of school sports. my hobbies and interests do tend to be indoor things.
i will say that my fitness from the beginning of grade 8 and to now has been crazy. ive sort of realized my potential in stuff like this, its kind of amazing to me, really. i think anything that would be stopping me from participating would be my self confidence and fear. but ive really overcome that this year, but theres still some of that inside me that i'd like to get out.
i really do plan on improving my fitness or keeping consistent during the summer. i have yet to set proper goals but i will, and i really want to. the goals i set in the year, i have been working on, but unfortunately i havent written a post about that. i was not comfortable sharing my goals on my blog at the time. but i will say that i have been working towards my goal and i can see the improvement.

4) DIGITAL PORTFOLIO AND REFLECTIVE SKILLS:
I will say that this will be an area i wasnt very strong in. i didnt really grasp the whole blog thing early in the year, which lead to lack of posts and understanding of what my blog was supposed to be about. i really regret that, but im not going to dwell on it so much. i never really started writing posts until a few months ago, i sort of realized its pretty fun! i really wished i had gotten the whole point of the blog earlier in the year. but fear not! i am lacking some posts, especially for the stuff like the goal with the videos and workouts. i started writing that post but i forgot to finish it and i guess it was a bit too late...
but with the posts i have posted, i think i write quite a bit. i try my best to get to the point, but sometimes its hard for me since i like to write a lot. i think the others writing comments on my posts has helped too, with what to write about and stuff. im also really bad at getting photos for my posts. its not like i dont have my phone with me, but i always forget. i always forget to take a photo, even when i tell myself im gonna need a photo for a post. ah, well i know why that happens to me but thats not important right now. i also feel weird taking my camera out and take a photo of me and mt friends, im not used to taking selfies at all.
i think that half of my blog is good then rest just not good. my later posts have been better since i have a better understanding of the purpose of the blog and what i blog about. ive gotten more comfortable talking about my personal active living and healthy living on my blog. that was another problem, i wasnt really comfortable talking about stuff like that when its public.
i dont know what else to say about my blog. its not much. im not completely satisfied with it though. but i think my later posts have done a pretty good summary of my active living at school and outside of school. i hope couldve done much better. but next year i have mr. neufeld too apparently, so maybe i can use this blog again! i would have a much better chance of keeping this blog updated next year since i know what to do.

What a wonderfully mature final post. I don't have much to add as you touched on the many areas I would have highlighted. I am encouraged at your growing confidence and left some comments and tips for your "get more active" goal in the summer. You have started this growth towards an understanding of your own body and your needs, and the reasons behind tracking it on your blog… I am excited to see what you can do if you start the year next year where you have finished this year. Have an awesome summer Callista … take some chances this summer with new activities or maybe even a team? :)
